Способствовал широкому жанровому разнообразию узбекских фильмов.По мнению большинства кинокритиков, созданный на киностудии фильм «Оратор» признан лучшим фильмом постсоветского пространства. Заслуженный работник культуры Узбекистана, член правления Гильдии кинодраматургов СК РФ. Преподаватель, ведет режиссерскую мастерскую в Ташкентском филиале ВГИК. Все из-за нее»; совместный с «Татаркино» проект «Тарлан», профинансированный Государственным центром поддержки национального кино и получивший пять наград международных кинофестивалей; полнометражный фильм «Велошах» (Bikechess), созданный совместно с CNC (Франция) и Sorfond (Норвегия) и признанный на кинофестивале «Tribeca»лучшим иностранным фильмом; полнометражный художественный фильм «Мика», мировая премьера которого состоялась в Германии на Международном кинофестивале для юных зрителей «SCHLiNGEL» 25 сентября – 5 октября 2024 г. Кандидат филологических наук. Автор более пятнадцати научных трудов, в том числе статей и книг в области литературоведения.
